The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll support, working closely with our Finance team, and providing essential administrative support to the People & Culture function.
Key responsibilities include:
Payroll
Work with Finance to deliver accurate and timely payroll services
Monitor and report on sickness, holiday, and statutory leave
Maintain accurate holiday and sickness records and report regularly
Ensure compliance with HMRC and pension requirements
Produce weekly payroll spreadsheets
People & Culture
Support onboarding by issuing contracts and new starter documents, ensuring all paperwork is received before start dates
Maintain up-to-date and compliant employee files and records
Support managers with inductions and assist with offboarding
Help maintain the employee handbook and other key documents
Ensure GDPR compliance and maintain filing systems monthly
Provide note-taking support for meetings when required
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Professional, discreet, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Confident using IT systems - particularly Excel and Word
Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Experienced in payroll administration (Sage experience preferred)
Positive, proactive, and aligned with our supportive, inclusive team culture
Hours & Pay
24 hours per week
(working pattern flexible by agreement)
14 per hour (starting rate)
