We are currently looking for a People Services Administrator to join our People Service's team here at our Headquarters at Doncaster Lakeside. This is a fixed term role for 6 months.
This role will help with the provisions of day-to-day transactional HR services for all DB Cargo UK employees including the processing of employee job changes, pension administration, training administration contracts and new starter documentation.
This role is part time (28 hours per week) and offers hybrid working with 2-3 days a week in the office.
What will you be doing?
Maintain accurate colleague data in our HR Information System (Workday), resolving queries from employees and the wider business.
Prepare and issue recruitment and contractual documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Sign correspondence and advise managers on required processes.
Manage a varied workload effectively, escalating complex issues to the relevant People Partner, Advisor, or line manager.
Take full ownership of queries through to resolution, keeping relevant stakeholders informed throughout.
Follow internal and external procedures, using judgment to escalate when appropriate.
Challenge non-standard transactional requests, taking corrective action or escalating to a manager or People team colleague as needed.
Work within People Services KPIs and contribute to continuous improvements in efficiency and service delivery.
Accurately process HR documentation, ensuring all required approvals are in place before implementing changes.
Conduct internal checks and audits to ensure compliance with controls, including the four-eye principle.
Support the ongoing review and enhancement of People Services processes to deliver a customer-focused, high-value service.
Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure compliance with GDPR.
Provide support across the business on a range of transactional HR activities, as directed by the People Services Manager.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within HR
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel (intermediate level)
Familiarity with HRIS or other business systems is preferred
Able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
Comfortable communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external
Sound understanding of UK employment law and GDPR
Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality at all times

The salary for this role is 26,010 per annum (FTE) and will be pro-rated based on the agreed part-time hours.
