About the Role

Fixation Academy is looking for

experienced, self-motivated Performing Arts Activity Leaders

with a background in drama, dance, or singing. You will be expected to

independently plan and deliver high-energy, creative performing arts and arts and crafts sessions

, helping children explore their talents while building confidence and teamwork skills.

We are seeking

leaders who can take initiative, manage groups confidently, and ensure safeguarding and behaviour management are consistently prioritised

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver dance, drama, and/or singing sessions throughout the camp day. Inspire and motivate children of all ages and abilities. Work effectively alongside other Activity Leaders and the Site Lead, while independently leading your own sessions. Create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. Prepare children for end-of-camp performances, ensuring each child feels successful and included. Proactively manage behaviour using positive strategies. Act as a role model, promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare standards at all times.

Requirements:

Background in performing arts (training, teaching, or experience leading sessions).

Minimum 2 years' experience

teaching children aged 6-11 in a performing arts setting. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Safeguarding minimum level 2 training (can be provided). Food Hygiene (can be provided). Enthusiastic, reliable, and confident leading groups independently. PLI insurance preferred.
