Personal Administrative & Practice Support

Bristol, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

I'm the owner and sole director of a busy accounting practice currently supporting over 200 clients. The workload is increasing, and while I love what I do, I need a helping hand to keep everything running smoothly.

I'm looking for someone personable, organised, and eager to learn, who can help me manage all the behind-the-scenes elements of my practice. This isn't just a standard admin role, it's an opportunity to genuinely help shape how the practice grows, improves, and supports clients.

What You'll Be Doing:

Helping me manage my time and stay organised Answering calls, handling client queries, and assisting in client interactions Supporting with client onboarding and communications Handling office admin such as managing post and paperwork Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients Acting as the main point of contact between me, our outsourced service provider, and our clients Addressing queries from the outsourced provider, coordinating responses, and relaying information clearly to clients Supporting in payroll processing, basic bookkeeping tasks, and payment runs (training provided as needed) Keeping Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance up to date Assisting with our practice management software (KarbonHQ) Documenting processes to help the practice improve and expand Helping with marketing tasks like creating proposals, scheduling meetings, and potentially managing content Various ad-hoc tasks that keep things moving smoothly!

Ideally, You:

Have around 3-5 years of administrative experience, preferably within professional services or accountancy (though accounting experience isn't essential) Are highly organised, proactive, and enjoy keeping things in order Are comfortable interacting with clients, HMRC, and external providers Are motivated to learn and contribute to the growth of the practice Are familiar with or eager to learn practice management software such as KarbonHQ

Why Work With Me?

You'll be working closely with me in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. I'm keen to find someone who really fits the practice--someone who enjoys taking initiative, learning new things, and helping shape a growing business.

As this is a key role for my practice, the interview process will be thorough and considerate, ensuring we're both confident in the fit.

Interested?

I'd love to hear from you. Please send through your CV and a short message about yourself and why this role feels right for you.
