Main duties of the job

  • Act as thefirst point of contact for the team, providing a professional and welcoming service.
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, includingtaking accurate minutes and ensuring timely distribution of actions.
  • Liaise confidently with other services and departmentsup to Board level across the Trust.
  • Maintain appointment diaries for members of theBoard Management Team, ensuring schedules run smoothly.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with theutmost discretion at all times.
  • Take on aTeam Lead role, supporting and guiding administrative colleagues to ensure high standards and efficient workflows.

  • Advanced keyboard skills including a very high standard of word processing skills e.g. OCR/RSA III or equivalent level qualification/experience
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
  • Previous experience in a PA / secretarial role including experience of diary management
  • Good working knowledge of Office software packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience of medical terminology.
  • Experience of minute taking
Desirable
  • Experience of staff management
  • Knowledge of Complaints process
  • Knowledge of NHS/Trust policies, procedures and guidelines
