Personal Assistant to the Managing Director (Part-Time)

About Lake District Farmers

As we grow, we're looking for a proactive Personal Assistant to be the Managing Director's trusted right hand--keeping the wheels turning day to day while helping us deliver on our bigger mission.
The Role
You'll be the calm, organised centre of a busy schedule--managing diaries and communications, preparing materials, and coordinating projects that span farmer partnerships, sustainability initiatives, and relationships with top kitchens.
Key responsibilities
Own the schedule:
Manage the MD's diary, meetings, travel and priorities.
Be the first point of contact:
Handle calls, emails and correspondence with warmth, professionalism and confidentiality.
Prepare and follow through:
Draft agendas, compile packs and presentations, take accurate minutes and chase actions.
Support key projects:
Coordinate workstreams across sustainability, supply chain and business growth.
Connect the dots:
Liaise with farmers, restaurant clients and internal teams to keep information flowing and relationships strong.
Stay ahead of the detail:
Maintain documents and records, manage logistics and anticipate needs.

About You
You're organised, adaptable and unflappable, with excellent judgment and people skills.
You'll bring:
Proven experience as a PA/EA or similar supporting senior leadership.
Clear, confident communication and strong writing skills.
Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and discretion at all times.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams and modern collaboration tools (Google Workspace, etc.).
Nice to have:
Interest in food, farming or sustainability.
Experience in hospitality, agriculture or food production.
A collaborative mindset and a good sense of humour.
