Job Summary
I require someone reliable to assist me to go to bed on
Saturday & Sunday evenings 10 - 10:30pm
.
You may opt to do one evening, two or all three.I live in south Kendal. The pay is 17.03 per shift/evening.
Candidate Duties
I need help doing various things:
- washing at the sink
- assistance with undressing
- getting into bed
I use an electric overhead hoist to transfer from wheelchair to bed, and so no heavy lifting is involved although you need to be reasonably physically fit. You should be able to listen to my requests and directions, and if in doubt ask what my needs are.
About Myself
In 1983 I broke my neck whilst diving with the result that I am paralysed from the chest down. I have limited use of my arms and no use of my hands. I work part-time in Lancaster. I enjoy getting out and about and I keep as well as the next man. I am married with 2 grown-up children.
Additional hours may be available on an ad-hoc basis particularly if you hold a valid driver's license.

Proficiency in spoken English Excellent communication skills Experience with home care procedures (helpful but not essential)
