We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounts and tax department in implementing Making Tax Digital and Self-Assessment . This position requires a strong understanding of accounting software (IRIS, Xero, Sage and QB ) as well as the ability to analyze financial data accurately. The Tax Assistant will work closely with clients and colleagues to ensure compliance with tax regulations while providing exceptional service.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses. Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in reporting. Utilise accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks for efficient tax processing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Experience

Previous accountancy office experience essential PARTICULARLY IN SELF ASSESSMENT AND PERSONAL TAX COLLATION AND COMPLETION Proficiency in accounting software, particularly IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks, is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information. Ability to manage a varied workload Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
