Salary/Benefits:

Salary is between 24,720 and 29,870 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

About the role:





We are currently seeking a Personal Tutor / EHCP Coordinator (Pathways) to join our Foundation Learning department at The Bedford College Group

.





As a Personal Tutor / EHCP Coordinator, you play an important role in the success of our students through:


Student Support & Mentoring

- Provide 1:1 tutorials and mentoring for students with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities, focusing on personal, social, and academic development, attendance, and overcoming barriers to learning.

EHCP & Statutory Duties

- Lead on annual reviews and reporting for students with EHCPs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and liaising with local authorities for High Needs Funding.

Progress Monitoring & Intervention

- Track student attendance, punctuality, and performance; identify at-risk learners and implement timely interventions in collaboration with curriculum staff and support services.

Transition & Progression

- Support students' transition into college and progression into further education, employment, or training, including collecting destination data and preparing references.

Collaboration & Compliance

- Work closely with teaching staff, attend meetings, contribute to induction and marketing events, and uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and professional development standards.

About you:




Qualifications & Training

- Holds A Levels or equivalent, GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C), and graduate or vocational training in Education, Health, or Social Sciences, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

SEND & EHCP Expertise

- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, with experience supporting students with EHCPs, leading reviews, and working within discrete Foundation programmes.

Communication & Collaboration

- Skilled in building professional relationships, leading meetings with stakeholders, and working effectively with diverse student groups, staff, and external agencies.

Technical & Organisational Skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems, with excellent administrative, record-keeping, and report-writing abilities, and capable of managing workload and meeting deadlines.

Values & Adaptability

- Demonstrates alignment with college values, maintains professional boundaries, adapts to change, and supports safeguarding, equality, and health & safety across all settings.
