We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. Entry level or recent graduates of grooming school welcome.

The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of grooming equipment and workstations. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and preferences. Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during the grooming process. Lift and manage pets safely, particularly larger breeds that may require heavy lifting. Stay updated on grooming techniques, trends, and best practices in animal care.

Experience

Previous experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate. Strong customer service skills to effectively engage with pet owners and address their concerns. Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic veterinary knowledge, is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 37 per week
