We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Counter Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with, medication dispensing, and supporting patient care activities. The ideal candidate will have prior community pharmacy experience

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries at the counter Support pharmacy technicians with medication preparation and distribution Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and patient interactions Provide guidance on over-the-counter products and health-related questions Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the counter area Support patient care activities by offering advice and reassurance where appropriate Follow all health and safety regulations, including confidentiality and data protection standards Recording blood pressures from patients and entering on system Maintaining a clean environment which involves cleaning the entire pharmacy is part of the role

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pharmacy counter assistant is desirable Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment A recognised qualification in pharmacy or related field is advantageous but not essential Ability to input data onto records is important
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
