Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with medication administration and patient care. This position is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services, contributing to the health and well-being of our patients.

Duties

Greet and assist customers with their inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. Support the pharmacy team in medication administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Provide patient care by answering questions and offering guidance on medication usage and health-related queries. Maintain an organised counter area, ensuring that all products are displayed correctly and stock levels are monitored. Assist pharmacy technicians with prescription processing and inventory management as needed. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales. Uphold cleanliness and safety standards within the workspace, adhering to all health regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a pharmacy setting or as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of medication administration practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards customers' needs. Basic computer skills for managing inventory and processing transactions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
