Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while adhering to all relevant guidelines and regulations. Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications for patients, ensuring all information is clear and accurate. Provide support to patients by answering queries regarding medications, usage, and side effects, ensuring they receive comprehensive care. Maintain an organised pharmacy environment by managing inventory levels, conducting stock checks, and ensuring proper storage of medications. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices and advancements in patient care.

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is required, showcasing familiarity with medication dispensing processes. Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices is essential. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy pharmacy setting. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
