Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the correct medications and understand their usage. This position is essential in supporting the overall health and well-being of our community.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance to patients regarding medication administration, including dosage instructions and potential side effects. Maintain an organised inventory of medications, ensuring that stock levels are monitored and replenished as necessary. Assist in the preparation of medication orders and manage the labelling of prescriptions. Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to prescriptions. Offer excellent patient care by addressing inquiries and providing support for medication-related concerns. Ensure that all pharmacy operations adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Skills

Proficient in medication administration techniques and practices. Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately under pressure. Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
