We are looking for a reliable Pharmacy Dispenser to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be able to independently perform pharmacy services and tasks on a daily basis. The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills as well as be able to work well with others and respond to questions from customers and medical staff, ensuring efficient day-to-day pharmacy operations in line with legal and professional standards.

Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and maintain accurate records. Provide excellent customer service and advice on over-the-counter (OTC) medications and general health queries. Receive, label, and store medications in accordance with regulations. Maintain stock levels, check expiry dates, and assist with stock control. Ensure the dispensary area is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards. Liaise with healthcare professionals and patients to clarify prescription details when necessary. Demonstrate flexibility with working hours and shift changes to ensure adequate cover and smooth operation of the pharmacy. Comply with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

Dispensary Assistant Course Certificate (NPA or equivalent) Strong patient care skills Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser Proficient in medication administration Excellent time management abilities Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and their uses Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
