Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser or Technician to join our team in Oldham. In this role, you will be responsible for handling the care home queries and medication supply. This job is ideal for a self-driven and motivated individual.

Duties -

Label, dispense and endorse prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure safe supply to patients in an efficient and accurate manner. Ordering, receiving and querying prescriptions Stock checking care homes and community trays Preparing MDS trays (including biodose/caremeds) Replenishing and cleaning dispensary areas and equipment Liaising with care home staff to maintain our relationships Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practice.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser is REQUIRED. Previous experience with MDS/Compliance Aids is REQUIRED. Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice. A professional manner and good quality written and verbal English language skills. Basic Microsoft Office/IT skills are necessary. Training will be provided on internal software.
We are looking for somebody who has the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. It is vital that the successful candidate should have great organisational skills.

Pay is negotiable depending on experience.

This role is specifically for our Care Home department and previous experience in dealing with Care homes/Blistering is essential. Please do not apply if you do not have experience in this
