Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong focus on patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist pharmacists in the preparation and administration of medications, including compounding when necessary. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering guidance on their use. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times. Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure stock availability. Conduct regular checks for expired medications and assist in the disposal process as per guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management.

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration practices and procedures is essential. Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are crucial for this role. A relevant qualification in pharmacy or related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with significant experience.
