We require a Pharmacy Technician to join our forward-thinking practice. You will need to be qualified to at least NVQ level 3 and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), have relevant experience with excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will be able to demonstrate assessment skills, including the undertaking of risk assessments and have sound patient skills, treating patients with respect and dignity at all times, adopting a culturally sensitive approach as well as being flexible.
Your duties will include:
Acting as Team Leader and when necessary allocating day to day duties
Processing of patient repeat medication requests in an acute and timely manner
To check acute medication requests as appropriate with a clinician
Process wound formulary requests from nursing homes, care homes and district nurses in line with CCG wound formulary guidelines
Workflow documents to be actioned in line with practice protocol
Dealing with patients queries face to face, via email and via telephone as and when required
Liaising with NHS colleagues and practice clinicians
Completing tasks from GP's and other colleagues where appropriate
Monitoring blood test results for high risk and shared care medications
Carrying out drug audits as requested by the GP's/practice managements
Attending significant event meetings and feeding back learning points to the team.
