Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation and administration of medications, providing support to pharmacists as needed. Maintain patient records and ensure that all information is up to date and accurate. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Keep the pharmacy area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Participate in inventory management, including stock control and ordering supplies as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration practices and protocols is essential. Strong commitment to patient care with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for record keeping and dispensing processes. A relevant qualification in pharmacy or healthcare would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
