Job Summary



We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving medicines management and enhancing patient care within primary care.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support our GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Prescription Clerk, and Nursing staff to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines across our practice population.

Key Responsibilities



Support medication reviews and reconciliation. Process repeat prescription requests in line with practice protocols and medicines optimisation principles. Provide advice to patients and colleagues on the safe and effective use of medicines. Identify and resolve prescription queries and potential medicines-related issues. Contribute to clinical audits, including supporting PQS, medicines safety reviews, and QOF/ICB projects. Support the implementation of local and national prescribing guidelines.

About You



Essential:



Qualified Pharmacy Technician, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Previous experience in community, hospital, or primary care pharmacy. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Good understanding of medicines optimisation and repeat prescribing processes in primary care.

Desirable:



Experience using SystmOne clinical systems. Previous experience within a General Practice or Primary Care Network (PCN) setting. Completion of, or willingness to undertake, the CPPE / Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway.

Salary - Depending of experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,000.00-30,000.00 per year
