Sutton Coldfield Group Practice (SCGP) Primary Care Network consists of a single merged innovative practice on a single IT system. We pride ourselves on providing high quality patient centered care by a well-supported team of staff with a focus on a culture of continued learning and improvement.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Pharmacy Technician, with experience of working within primary care or hospital setting. You will also have a BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical science/pharmacy services.

Reporting to:

PCN Lead Clinical Pharmacist

Hours:

Full time hours of 37.5 per week. Work pattern can be negotiable

Salary:

17.46 per hour

The post holder will:

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting other healthcare professionals to improve patient care through effective medicines management.

Key activities will include:-

Medicine reconciliation of care when transferred back to primary care, such as processing discharge and clinical letters Medication monitoring such as high risk drugs Process and implement changes following MHRA alerts Support and manage shared care requests Blood pressure monitoring

If upon you joining SCGP (Sutton Coldfield Group Practice), you are currently a patient at one of the SCGP practices, you will be asked to transfer to a different practice. During your probation, unless there is no other alternative available for you, you will be expected to transfer to another practice to ensure that you are not treated by a colleague.
