We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples and performing related procedures with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
Collect blood samples from patients using venepuncture adhering strictly to aseptic procedures.
Ensure proper identification of patients and samples to prevent errors.
Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, including labelling, handling, and documentation.
Maintain a clean and sterile environment during all procedures to prevent contamination or infection.
Monitor patients during procedures, providing reassurance and support.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including basic life support (BLS) protocols when necessary.
Document all procedures accurately within patient records, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Collaborate with laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals to ensure timely processing of specimens.
Stay updated on best practices in phlebotomy.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical setting is preferred.
Certification or training in phlebotomy recognised by relevant health authorities is essential.
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to blood collection procedures.
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Experience with aseptic technique to prevent infection during sample collection.
Basic life support (BLS) certification is required to ensure patient safety during procedures.

Pay: 12.21-13.05 per hour
