Job Description
Uppingham Surgery is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team.
Uppingham Surgery employees a diverse multidisciplinary team who deliver care to 13,000 patients in the beautiful market town of Uppingham and surrounding villages. The practice is ideally situated just off the A47.
Your role includes the following areas of responsibility:
Performing venepuncture in line with practice protocols Correct labelling, packaging, storing of samples and resolving any potential discrepancies Ensuring samples are prepared for collection to the laboratory in a timely manner Accurately manage patient recalls and associated read-coding data in the medical record Support with stock management of supplies and fridge data checking Working collaboratively with the nursing team, seeking guidance and peer review appropriately
What we look for in your application:
Phlebotomy qualification or aspiration to complete phlebotomy training Experience of a similar role in primary care Delivering safe patient centric care Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Excellent administrative skills; a proven record in Primary Care an advantage Positive and proactive approach to work, with the ability to work under pressure Experience of working in a team and using your own initiative Ability to abide by strict confidentiality and information governance compliance and the responsibility this brings
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.21 per hour
