Physical Activity Officer
to join our vibrant team!
About the Role
------------------
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Physical Activity Manager to achieve our service's strategic objectives and deliver positive public health outcomes for our incredibly diverse multicultural community.
You'll be instrumental in helping to deliver the aims and objectives of our Culture Capital, Projects, and Quality Assurance service. A significant part of your role will involve working in close partnership with Public Health, primary care providers, the third sector, and other key stakeholders. Together, you will target and facilitate a wide range of health promotion activities - covering both physical and mental well-being. This includes everything from traditional sports and active travel initiatives to walking groups and gardening projects! Your focus will be on engaging those most likely to be inactive, ensuring a proportional and universal approach to our programmes.
You'll be responsible for effectively delivering physical activity programmes and projects that genuinely promote health improvement. This will involve a blend of facilitation, commissioning, and, when required and subject to funding, direct delivery of activities.
What We're Looking For
--------------------------
We are seeking a proactive individual with a strong understanding of public health principles and a proven ability to deliver impactful physical activity initiatives. You'll need excellent communication and partnership-building skills, along with a commitment to empowering communities to lead healthier, more active lives.
If you're ready to make a tangible difference in the lives of Tower Hamlets residents, we want to hear from you!
