What will you be doing?




This role sits within the Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT), the country's most successful Olympic and Paralympic team in history. Now is an incredibly exciting year to join GBCT. Fresh off the back of winning 11 Olympic and 22 Paralympic medals at the most recent Games in Paris, as well as having recently celebrated 20 years of the GBCT pathway, we are a team with high ambitions to continue this legacy at LA 2028 and beyond.


This role will be leading the 'Physical Preparation' theme (one of four themes of performance support). The overarching objective is to

support advances in cycling performance through an evidence based, scientific approach to physical development

.


This role will provide leadership and management to physiology, S&C, nutrition and biomechanics roles to ensure that support is fully aligned to the meet the objectives of training plans.


What we're looking for:




A credible and passionate practitioner with the experience of supporting teams of support staff to develop physical qualities that have a traceable impact on sports performance. This role would be well suited to someone with an active specialism in a discipline associated with training design and with experience of leading performance support teams, but we are open to applicants from all relevant backgrounds.

You will be a credible expert in the field of physical preparation. You will have the courage and conviction to challenge the status quo. Owing to your credibility, people will listen.


Conscientious -

You possess a high attention to detail and have a desire to ensure to ensure the standards of service delivery and the environment you operate in are world class. To this end you seek feedback on yourself and are forthcoming in providing constructive feedback to others.


Team player -

You will naturally want to stand shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues and muck in when it is required.
