We're looking for an exceptional Physiotherapy First Contact Practitioner (FCP), and we want to hear from you. With your clinical experience and expertise in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, together with your energy and commitment to our public service, you'll be able to make a huge difference. We're looking for a highly skilled musculoskeletal physiotherapist, able to work with our system partners to delivery excellent FCP and musculoskeletal care.
Main duties of the job
As an FCP you will support the Head of Physiotherapy Service, Physiotherapy Professional & Service Development Leads (PSDL) and our system partners, to co-ordinate, develop and implement the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service. Alongside other Senior Physiotherapists, you will work as part of our MSK Out-patient Physiotherapy and FCP Team and embody our proud to CARE values to contribute to a truly inclusive workplace. At the heart of this role is providing specialised physiotherapy assessment and identifying appropriate treatment pathways for our patients, including working collaboratively with our system partners, developing and implementing the plans, procedures and governance to contribute to the system wide Musculoskeletal Service. Essential

• BSc (Hons) Degree / Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
• Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration
• Postgraduate training to MSc level or equivalent in relevant area
• Documented evidence of Continuous Professional Development, including attendance at recent postgraduate training relevant to Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
• Completed IR(ME)R training on ionization or working towards
• Completed training on radiographic interpretation or working towards
• Completed training on ordering pathology tests or working towards

Desirable

• Independent prescribing or willingness to complete
• Completion of injection training, or willingness to complete
• Completion of training to facilitate providing Fit notes or willingness to complete

Experience
Essential

• Significant experience working at a se physiotherapist level, including management of complex musculoskeletal conditions
• Clinical education and supervision of less experienced Physiotherapists, Technical Instructors, Assistants and Students.
• Experience of clinical audit and service evaluation
• Competent in the use of information technology including e-mail, databases and internet Experience of service development

Desirable

• Knowledge of the role of NHS Outpatient Physiotherapy Services within locality and the current evolving health environment
