Overview

Studio Art and Frame is a fast growing art and framing business based in Frome, Somerset. We are looking to recruit additional member of staff to work as part of our workshop team.

Our business offers a full bespoke framing service alongside producing framed artwork and memorabilia for our retail and online stores.

We also produce framed artwork for a number of wholesale and corporate clients.

The Person

You will need to be reliable, hardworking, able to work well in a team and have an ability to remain focused in a fast paced environment.

Experience preferred but not essential, as full training would be provided to the right applicant.

Your typical daily duties will include:

Responsibilities

Measure, cut & assemble frames for artwork, photographs and memorabilia. Use saws, computerised mount cutters, power tools and hand tools to cut and assemble frame components. Mount artwork or photographs securely within frames Assist customers in selecting appropriate frames and mounting options for their artwork. Package and box artwork for onward shipping / delivery to customers.

Experience

A willingness to learn Previous experience in art framing or a related field is preferred but not essential Ability to work with precision and attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping and standing for extended periods of time A full clean driving licence is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time

This is a full time permanent position, working 40 hours per week with occasional Saturday work required.
