The successful candidate will be responsible for laying and installing underground pipelines, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Duties

Lay underground pipelines according to project specifications and safety standards Operate heavy machinery such as excavators to assist with trenching and pipeline installation Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to assemble and secure pipelines Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation Conduct inspections of pipelines for leaks or defects during and after installation Assist with site preparation, including trench excavation and backfilling Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment used during pipeline installation Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining safety protocols

Skills

Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to pipeline installation Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for pipe fitting and assembly Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery or pipeline components Electrical experience is advantageous for understanding control systems or electrical components related to pipeline projects Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately Good physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
