We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pipelayer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying and installing pipelines in various environments, ensuring safety and precision throughout the process. Duties
Lay and install underground and above-ground pipelines according to project specifications and safety standards.
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators to assist with trenching and pipeline placement.
Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, welding, fitting, and securing pipes.
Perform welding tasks to join pipe sections securely, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
Conduct routine inspections of pipelines during installation to identify potential issues or defects.
Assist with the setup of electrical systems related to pipeline monitoring or control equipment.
Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and mechanical technicians to ensure seamless project progress.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Pipelayer or in a similar role within construction or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in operating excavators and other heavy machinery such as lorries or diggers.
Skills in welding, including knowledge of different welding techniques suitable for pipeline work.
Competence with hand tools and power tools used in pipe fitting and installation.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to pipeline systems and associated equipment.
Electrical experience is advantageous for handling monitoring systems or control wiring.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
