JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented and passionate Pizza and Pasta Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing authentic Italian dishes, with a particular focus on fresh pasta and hand-stretched pizzas. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality food with consistency, creativity, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes, including making fresh pasta where required. Hand-stretch, top, and cook pizzas to a high standard, ensuring authentic flavour and presentation. Make pizza dough, sauces, and toppings from scratch, following traditional Italian methods. Maintain excellent standards of food quality, consistency, and portion control. Assist with menu development, introducing new pasta and pizza specials. Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and ensure efficient use of ingredients. Keep the kitchen and workstations clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations. Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Pizza Chef, Pasta Chef, or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of Italian cooking techniques, dough preparation, and pasta-making. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen. Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for authentic Italian cuisine. Reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Desirable:

Formal culinary training or qualifications in Italian cuisine. Experience working with wood-fired or stone ovens. Knowledge of Italian food culture and regional specialities.
