The ideal candidate should have a solid background in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine, attention to detail, and a passion for food excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes (fresh and dry) and pizzas to a high standard.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the prep area, pizza oven, and pasta station.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and consistent food service.
Support training of junior staff or kitchen assistants if required.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including equipment care and waste management.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a pizza chef or pasta chef in a busy restaurant.
Strong knowledge of dough preparation, pasta sauces, and classic Italian recipes.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in quality.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Culinary certification or relevant training is a plus.
Flexible with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
