The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a deep understanding of food preparation and safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu and customer preferences. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. Handle any customer dietary requests or allergies with care and attention.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with a passion for meal preparation and cooking. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Creative flair for developing new dishes and enhancing existing recipes. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Previous experience in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred but not essential for enthusiastic candidates willing to learn.

Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour
