Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and food safety practices. Help create an enjoyable dining experience by presenting dishes attractively and responding to guest feedback.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment. Proficient in various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
