As a Chef, you will be responsible for meal preparation, food preparation, and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely meal service.
Maintain equipment and utensils in good working order, reporting any issues promptly.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation is highly desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when required.
