We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team opening a brand new pizza restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations, meal preparation, and food safety. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in crafting delicious pizzas that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This position is perfect for individuals who have experience working in a pizza restaurant and want to be an important part of a great team.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas. You will have a hand in creating the menu.
Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations, maintaining the highest standards of food safety.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during pizza preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A passion for culinary arts with creativity in meal presentation and flavour combinations.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
