Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards. Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.

Skills

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of cuisines. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation. Creative flair for presenting dishes attractively. Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
