Job Overview

We are seeking a Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team in Kings Cross. The kitchen is a pop up kitchen connected to a local Brewery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and food preparation, with a flair for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 7 Day a week kitchen kitchen, so you must be able to work evenings and weekends. The candidate must be available to work the required days. The kitchen is also a customer facing kitchen as it is in a pop up site.

Duties

Be able to make and prepare Pizza to Slice Club specification Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Ensure that all dishes are presented properly and meet the restaurant's quality standards. Manage kitchen inventory and assist in controlling food costs through effective portioning and waste management.

Skills

Strong knowledge of pizza techniques and food preparation methods. Experience in running a kitchen Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant environment. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen setting. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when required. Creative mindset with an eye for detail in food presentation and flavour combinations.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: 15.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
