Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing various styles of pizza and demonstrate expertise in dough preparation, sauce creation, topping selection, and oven operation. The Pizza Chef will play a key role in delivering high-quality, consistent pizzas that meet our brand standards and delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas using fresh dough, house-made sauces, and high-quality ingredients
Operate and maintain different types of pizza ovens (wood-fired, gas, electric)
Monitor food stock and ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimal waste
Prepare pizza dough daily, including mixing, kneading, and proofing
Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented according to recipes and quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service during peak hours
Experiment with new recipes or specials, contributing to menu development
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff if needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar culinary role
In-depth knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques
Familiarity with various pizza styles and cooking methods
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure service times
Good communication and teamwork skills
Culinary training or certification is a plus
Work Conditions:
Full-time shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Standing for extended periods and working near high heat
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay: 12.21-17.31 per hour
