Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pizza Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Pizza preparation:

Make pizza dough and sauce from scratch or as per standard recipes. Prepare toppings by washing, chopping, and slicing vegetables, and cutting or slicing meats.

Pizza assembly:

Assemble pizzas by spreading sauce, adding cheese, and arranging toppings according to established recipes or customer orders.

Cooking:

Operate various types of ovens (wood-fired, gas, or electric) to bake pizzas to the correct time and temperature.

Quality control:

Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Check the final product for consistency and adherence to company standards.

Kitchen maintenance:

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area by cleaning countertops, equipment, and utensils. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Inventory management:

Monitor and stock ingredients and supplies, informing management when items are low. Assist with receiving deliveries if needed.

Team collaboration:

Communicate and work effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to fulfill orders efficiently and provide excellent service.

Additional tasks:

Depending on the establishment, this could include preparing other menu items like salads, pasta, or appetizers, taking customer orders, and training new staff.

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in culinary operations Familiarity with meal preparation techniques across various cuisines is advantageous Previous experience serving customers or guests is a plus, demonstrating excellent communication skills
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.37-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
