Job Description
Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving Local Authority, based in Warwickshire, which is in need of a Planning Lawyer to join their team on a part-time basis. If successful, you will be one of the Council\'s planning lawyers advising on the council\'s historic environment.
Role: Planning Lawyer
Salary: \xc2\xa340-\xc2\xa345
Location: Warwickshire - mainly remote but will require some office attendance from the outset
Duration: 4 months rolling contract - 22.2 hours a week
The role of a Planning Lawyer:
- Handling a full caseload on Planning Law from start to completion
- Advising, drafting and issuing enforcement notices and other remedies for breach of planning control, making and amending tree preservation orders.
- Assist officers with any administrative work that may be required from time to time
- Deal with mainly s106 agreements, reviewing planning committee reports, attending committee meetings and briefings, general planning advice
- Someone who has recent experience in Planning Law within the public sector
- A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years of PQE in Planning Law
- Someone who is organised and self-motivated and is prepared to contribute and improve upon the efficiency of the team
