The opportunity \xe2\x80\x93 Planning Manager (P6) - London / Plymouth

Project: Planning Manager required to work in London with the odd travel to Plymouth on a large-scale infrastructure project. Mace are engaged as delivery partner to Babcock in supporting the delivery of a major upgrade of existing facilities within HMNB Devonport. These major upgrades will enable deep maintenance work packages for the latest class of nuclear-powered fleet submarines. Dock upgrades to support the Astute operational programme will enable optimisation of the maintenance programme. Mace are playing a key role in delivering these upgrades.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leads application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools.

Good working knowledge of planning/scheduling, EVM, project controls and QSRA methodologies

Ability to support on complex requirements.

Able to manage planning/scheduling delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.

Excellent written communication skills, clear & concise.

In depth knowledge of schedule management tools & software.

Able to provide effective & timely advice to clients.

Understanding of data management.

Clearly understands role & future career paths available from that position.

Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check schedule management inputs, recording & reports produced, providing basic commentary & analysis.

Influences client and other stakeholders to accept proposals and recommendations.

Tackling problems that don\xe2\x80\x99t have an obvious solution.

Creating and delivering persuasive presentations to large audiences.

Qualifications

About you

You will have exposure of working as a P6 planner on large scale projects ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a project management consultancy.

You will have a construction related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent).

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You have experience of working on large projects/programmes. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
