Newport City Council is recruiting for a Planning Policy Officer to join the Planning Policy Team within the Regeneration and Economic Development Service Area. The role is offered on a one year Fixed Term basis.



This is an exciting opportunity for a positive and proactive individual to help shape the future development of the City and play a key role in delivering the Council's regeneration and growth aspirations and assisting with the creation of the Replacement Local Development Plan.



Candidates must hold a qualification in Town Planning, or equivalent, and will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the planning system and planning legislation, especially in relation to planning policy.



Demonstrated experience undertaking research/data analysis and strong written and oral communication skills are desired.
