About the Role:

We are looking for a

dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager

to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of our nursery and lead a talented horticultural team. This is a

hands-on, leadership role

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all aspects of nursery operations Plan and execute potting schedules, watering, feeding, and spraying regimes Implement creative maintenance techniques to enhance plant value Supervise and support a dedicated nursery team, ensuring high standards of work and plant care Liaise with the

sales team

on plant selection and growing schedules Collaborate with the

operations team

on incoming stock and logistics (goods-in/goods-out) Ensure quality control and the presentation of stock meets the expectations of high-end clients Manage and deliver on contract grows for prestigious projects, including direct client communication Welcome and advise customers alongside the sales team when required Lead by example, embedding industry-leading standards across the nursery
About You:

Proven experience managing a commercial nursery or similar horticultural operation Strong horticultural knowledge, including experience with trees, shrubs, hedging, and topiary Proactive, organised, and a natural team leader Comfortable working in a hands-on role and leading from the front Excellent communication skills and confidence when liaising with clients and visitors Flexible with weekend work when required Passionate about quality, customer service, and the horticultural industry
