Plasma Machine Operator

to join our successful, fast-paced team.

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable individual to operate our plasma machine.

Working Hours:

The position is working Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays, on our late shift: 4.00pm - 1.00am (paid at a rate of time and a quarter due to some hours being unsociable)

Responsibilities:

Learning the skills needed to become a Plasma Machine Operator. Operating various machinery including CNC plasma cutters. Working as a team and helping skilled fabricators with tasks at hand. General workshop duties inc. guillotine cutting sheet metal. Working with other skilled staff members and learning from them, with on the job training. Adhering to Health & Safety Regulations.

Requirements:

Attention to detail to ensure quality. Ability to follow Health and Safety regulations. Teamwork. Accurate measuring ability. Good numeracy skills. Experience of using a tape measure and other measuring devices. GCSE (or equivalent) in maths preferred but not essential.
