Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in various construction trades to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment. The position involves working on diverse projects, from residential to commercial sites, requiring attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Duties

Applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using hand tools and power tools Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing as necessary before plaster application Mixing plaster and other materials to specified consistencies Ensuring finishes are smooth, level, and adhere properly according to schematics and project requirements Assisting with related tasks such as masonry, carpentry, or fabrication work when needed Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics for accurate application Collaborating with team members including roofers, plumbers, electricians, and masons to ensure seamless project execution Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in plastering within the construction industry Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately Experience with carpentry and masonry work is desirable Strong understanding of health and safety standards on construction sites Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if required
