to carry out remedial plastering works throughout the school premises during the summer holiday period. The role will involve preparing, repairing, and finishing walls and ceilings to a high standard, ensuring the school is ready for the new academic year.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out remedial plastering works, including patch repairs, re-skimming, and surface preparation on internal walls and ceilings.
Assess areas requiring repair, remove damaged plaster, and apply appropriate treatments to ensure a long-lasting finish.
Work safely and efficiently, minimising disruption to other ongoing works on site.
Maintain a tidy and organised workspace, complying with school site rules and health & safety regulations.
Use the correct materials, tools, and techniques to achieve a high-quality finish in line with school and contractor standards.
Liaise with the site manager and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
Report any underlying structural or maintenance issues discovered during works.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a
Plasterer
, ideally within schools, public buildings, or similar environments.
Strong knowledge of plastering techniques, including patching, skimming, and finishing.
Ability to work independently and deliver work to a high standard within agreed timeframes.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
CSCS card (preferred but not essential).
Own tools and transport
