Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related construction skills, with the ability to work on various projects including residential and commercial properties. The Plasterer will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish, while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Responsibilities

Apply plaster to walls and ceilings using various techniques to achieve desired finishes. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Work with power tools and hand tools to mix and apply plaster effectively. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements. Perform masonry tasks as needed, including bricklaying for structural support. Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make adjustments as required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in roof plastering projects when necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to plastering tasks. Knowledge of masonry techniques, including bricklaying, is advantageous. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. A valid driver's licence is preferred for travel between job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 17.50-20.00 per hour
