Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related construction skills, with the ability to work on various projects including residential and commercial properties. The Plasterer will be responsible for applying plaster, rendering, and other finishes to walls and ceilings, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets industry standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Mix plaster and other materials to the correct consistency for application. Apply plaster to walls and ceilings using hand tools and power tools, ensuring an even and smooth finish. Repair damaged plasterwork and perform maintenance on existing surfaces. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as bricklayers, carpenters, and roofers to ensure project completion. Follow safety protocols while working with tools and materials to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, performing minor repairs as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and scrapers. Familiarity with masonry techniques and bricklaying skills is advantageous. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus for specific projects requiring metal frameworks. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.

Pay: 15.00-25.00 per hour
