Plasterer


Grade 6 (SCP 24 30) (36,285 - 43,993)


Carry out plastering (and occasional masonry work) and all associated building work to a high standard of workmanship ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, including repairs and maintenance of Council properties as part of a reactive and planned maintenance team. Support the Assistant Housing Manager (Maintenance) in achieving the priorities and objectives of the Council. Undertake the duties of the post in such a manner as to enhance and protect the reputation and public profile of the Council.


It is essential that candidates have a City & Guilds/NVQ level 2 qualification in plastering, masonry or similar along with relevant post-qualification experience in either construction/building maintenance or domestic environment. A full clean valid driving licence is also essential.

Essential

City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Plastering e.g., Level 2 Diploma or NVQ Certificate in plastering or related construction vocational qualification Relevant post qualification experience as a Plasterer in either construction/building maintenance or domestic environment Skilled in aspects of plastering including internal and external work Experience of completing daily work sheets and using schedule of rates Ability to work with good attention to detail and accuracy Ability to plan and prioritise own workload, work unsupervised and meet deadlines Ability to deal with general public and difficult customers Be part of a standby rota (as may be required) to carry out emergency works out of normal working hours Full valid clean driving licence
