Job Description

Due to new contracts and sustained demand, Construction Skills Wales is expanding again. We are seeking an experienced plastering tutor who already operates at Assessor and IQA level to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on, practical role delivering accredited training to adult learners, with clear progression into NVQs. Standards matter here. This is not a classroom-only or tick-box position.

The Role

You will:

Deliver high-quality practical plastering and drylining training

Teach and manage adult learners on funded and accredited programmes

Actively assess learners and carry out IQA activities as a core part of the role

Maintain assessment evidence and quality assurance

Support NVQ-ready learners and internal tutors

Uphold delivery standards across all programmes

Liaise professionally with External Quality Assurers (EQAs) during inspections and reviews

Essential Requirements

Time-served plasterer

Qualified Assessor (A1 / CAVA or equivalent)

Qualified IQA, with the clear expectation that both assessing and IQA are routinely undertaken

Experience teaching or training adults

Strong communication skills and high professional standards

Desirable

Experience delivering accredited or funded training

Experience supporting or mentoring other tutors

Multi-trade experience (not essential)

Additional Contribution (Desirable)

Supporting the development of new courses and delivery models

Contributing to continuous improvement of training standards and materials

Willingness to hold or work toward First Aid at Work (training provided if required)
